My coder is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on numerous
websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform.
I have heard very good things about blogengine.net. Is there a
way I can import all my wordpress posts into it?
Any kind of help would be really appreciated!

    • docreo

Hmm. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with blogengine.net. I am also unsure of the reference to changing from a ASP.Net server to PHP. I mean is your business a large company or a small business. ASP.Net is still valid. I would say it is as valid as Windows 10, but then again I have been out of the Server Administrator game for a bit. However, I understand the desire for most coders to want something easier. I would assume that your customers information is more secure on an ASP.NET server. If it is the cost and you need to downsize to a PHP based server, make the move.

First of all I want to say wonderful blog! I had
a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.

I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your
thoughts prior to writing. I have had a tough time
clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there.
I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like
the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost simply just trying to figure out
how to begin. Any recommendations or tips? Cheers!

    • docreo

Thank you for your comment. Focus can be challenging, so there are a few steps that I take, which start with meditation. I have high anxiety and must control my energy constantly. Some of the things I do for myself may not work for you. So, first remember that you have to find and learn your own tools that help you maintain balance. Also, it does not matter what other people think of the tools you use. They are for you and you only, so embrace them. Some of my tools are Water, Music, Air, Vibration, and Fire.

However, Not all of us have a place to burn a fire, it is not always windy, it doesn’t always rain, nor do we always have access to bodies of water. So I do spend a good portion of my meditation time in the bathtub with music. You’d be surprised how that can get your thoughts flowing. Sometimes I hum bassier melodies that resemble Buddhist chants (Sometimes I slip into the actual chant) that I learned when I was ten. The vibration also release some of the anxiety and helps me to focus.

If you decide to meditate in the bath, then take cellphone and use it to set a timer and take voice notes. After you lounge for at least an hour you should find some inspiration (Could be sooner). You might need to add more hot water from time to time. If you have a Jacuzzi or Hot Tub then your already ahead of the game.

  13. Bell

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me.

I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!

    • docreo

      Thanks! I appreciate your feedback.

However, that is just the small amount of practice that I have been able to acquire through my years. This is not an overnight scheme. It is a Journey, and with time the voyage gets easier. As long as we remain passionate, persistent, and deliver value, then the road doesn’t feel so long. The journey is long. It is never gone.

  14. docreo

Wow! Thank you for sharing some great information. It is good to hear from others in the community. Feedback and knowledge can help us all grow. I will take your advice as well because I am always learning too.
